Complete transparency
Every row is a public permit record. Here is the full field list, and a plain statement of what is never in the file.
One row per permit. One CSV per jurisdiction. These columns, standardized across every city:
This is property and permit intelligence, not a homeowner mailing list. We deliberately leave out:
Why this beats a scrape or the API dump
The API export caps at 50,000 rows per call. This is asynchronous — you get the entire jurisdiction, whether that's 10,000 rows or 2 million.
Pay and walk away. We build the ZIP in the background and email you a download link the moment it's ready. No polling, no pagination, no code.
One metro or fifty. No forced state bundles or coverage you don't need — you choose jurisdiction by jurisdiction and pay only for those.
Same schema across every city, dates normalized, categories classified. Drop it straight into a spreadsheet, warehouse, or model.
Choose quarterly or twice-yearly and a fresh ZIP lands automatically on schedule — so your dataset never goes stale. Cancel anytime.
Live feeds and frozen archives are marked, not blended. You always know exactly what a file represents before you pay.
Transparent pricing
Every city you add is priced by its own permit count — smaller cities cost less, big metros more. Your cart total is simply the sum of its cities. The live tally above is always the real number.
One-time exports are a single charge. Auto-refresh bills the same amount on your chosen cadence (quarterly or twice-yearly) at 20% off, and cancels anytime. Self-serve covers up to 623 jurisdictions (or about 2 million total rows). Need more, a statewide roll-up, or a custom cadence? Ask for an enterprise quote.
No surprises
A single ZIP containing one UTF-8 CSV per jurisdiction, plus a short manifest that lists each file, its row count, and its freshness label. Columns are identical across every city, so files stack cleanly.
As big as the jurisdiction. There is no 50,000-row cap like the API export — you get the full permit history on record for every city you pick, whether that's a few thousand rows or a couple million.
No. Never. The export ships public permit fields only — permit details, work descriptions, dates, addresses, valuations, contractor names, and coordinates. Owner names and mailing addresses are never in the file. That data is license-restricted and reserved for our separate, opt-in ZIP Leads product.
Active cities are pulled from feeds we sync daily. Cities whose upstream source has stopped publishing are clearly labeled "Archived through <year>" in the picker and in your manifest, so a historical snapshot is never passed off as a live feed.
An optional subscription. Pick quarterly or twice-yearly and we rebuild your exact selection on that schedule and email you a fresh ZIP each time. Cancel whenever you like from the link on your receipt.
By email. After checkout we build the ZIP in the background and send you a private download link. Links stay live for seven days; re-runs of an auto-refresh each get their own link.
Yes — that's an enterprise export. Email support@permit-stack.com and we'll quote it, usually at a lower per-city rate with a custom refresh cadence.
Pick your cities, see the price live, and have the whole dataset in your inbox — one time, or on repeat.
Public building-permit records, standardized and delivered. Owner contact data is never included.
